The triangular space (otherwise called the average triangular space, upper triangular space, average axillary space or foramen omotricipitale) is one of the three spaces found at the axillary space. The other two spaces are the quadrangular space and the triangular interim.
Limits
It has the accompanying limits:
- Mediocre: the prevalent fringe of the teres major;
- Sidelong: the long leader of the triceps;
- Predominant: Teres minor or Subscapularis
For the predominant outskirt, a few sources list the teres minor, while others list the subscapularis.
Contains:
It contains the scapular circumflex vessels.
In contrast to the quadrangular space or the triangular interim, no significant nerve goes through the triangular space.
